Anything that has paper/box packing could smell musty to some people depending. I had one complaint about it since 1998， but I wanted to give a heads up. None of the actual merchandise is affected only the packaging. All the breakables are glass or a glazed product， and plastic， metal or resin does not absorb like a porous material would. Any porous items are stored in plastic bags， and plastic tubs with secure lids. Simple airing would probably resolve any issue with card board boxes or foam in packaging.
